Q
Do you sub-contract out the work?

No! All work is completed in-house by well-trained and professional Tri-County Tree Service staff.

Q
Are you insured?

Yes! We carry $5 million in liability insurance coverage and full workplace insurance coverage for all of our employees through the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB).

Q
When is the best time to book your service?

The sooner the better! Any professional and reputable tree service company is going to be busy, requiring advanced booking outside of emergency situations. The sooner you book our service, the sooner we can get the work done for you!

Q
Do you have the right equipment for the job?

Yes. We invest in some of the best equipment on the market to provide you with the best service possible and create a safer and more efficient working environment at your property. Our fleet includes a 60 foot bucket truck, a 70 foot spider lift with a width of only 34 inches, chippers with up to 15 inch chipping capacity, large and compact stump grinders, large and compact skid steers, a log truck, and chipper trucks. Tri-County Tree Service is properly outfitted for all aspects of tree care.

Q
Do you buy the wood/logs from the customer?

No! We do not purchase logs or wood from our customers. Per the customer's request at the time of the quote, we can either remove the wood from your property or leave it on site.

Q
What is the difference between a quote and a consultation?

If you know exactly what work you would like done, we will provide you with a free written quote. If you are unsure of what you need done to your tree(s) or property, for a fee, we can provide a professional consultation at your property with one of our certified arborists. A consultation can help you to improve the health and extend the life of your trees, avoid damage to structures or hazards to people on your property, and prevent the spread of tree infection. Most consultations end up saving our customers money in the long run.

Q
Will I be left with a mess on my property after?

Not with Tri-County Service. Full clean up at every job site is included with our services unless requested otherwise at the time of the quote. We have all the necessary equipment to chip the brush, remove large logs and wood from your property, and grind out the stumps. Speaking of wood chips, if a customer requests to keep the wood chips, we are always happy to deposit them on site in a nice neat pile.

Q
What are the costs of your services?

Prices vary depending on the type of work we are doing. We will provide a free written quote during a site visit. As a side-note, a quote is not something that we can provide over the phone.

Q
I think I have a problem with my tree, what should I do?

Call us right away. If you notice early leaf drop, a declining or dead tree, signs of pests, broken limbs, a split trunk, etc. The longer you leave a problem, the worse it will get. Too much damage may be irreversible. For a lot of reasons, it could end up costing you more in the long run to leave an issue to be dealt with at a later date. In many cases, if addressed right away, the tree may be saveable!

Q
Are your arborists certified?

Yes. We have ISA and Ontario certified arborists on staff who will be performing the work at your property.

Q
There is a tree in my back yard with no access for a bucket truck or big equipment. Are you able to work on it?

Yes! We have highly trained and certified climbing arborists on staff that can prune or remove a tree in any location. We have also invested in a compact width spider lift that only requires a 34-inch wide space with a working height of 70 feet.
